Residency with Alexis Jamet, in the Toyama region, between Himi, a seaside town and Nanto, where we experienced family life in the small mountain countryside.
We were invited by Studio Risogura and Household to create kites to be exhibited and flown.
After spending a few days in the coastal town, wandering between the fish market and the streets filled with maritime imagery drawn by Fujiko Fujio, we worked in Risogura’s studio, drawing inspiration from the shared everyday life of a family: from objects, paintings, harvests, and meals.
The outcome of our work is a collection of multi-shaped kites, which were presented both inside and outside the Household building, carried by the wind.
